what are the real sorority rankings here?

top tier is between Chi O, KD and Kappa. Each has their own type of girl though but you can't go wrong with any of them. KDs can been seen as the sweet innocent type but they still like to party. Chi O parties hard. Kappa is exclusive. All three are very respectable. Basically party with kappa, date a chi o and marry a kd.

Middle is DZ. They are working on getting it together which is understandable because they are new. They try to imitate KD and it just doesn't work out the same. While they have potential they need to hone in on their sisterhood and stop taking girls for numbers.

Bottom is AOPi. They win chapter of the year every year. They have a good sisterhood but are not social at all. Part of being a sorority is being well rounded which they are not, but they do know how to run a chapter. They know who they are looking for and succeed in finding it. they are very smart ladies but need to work on their social.

I wouldn't worry about tier.

Basically, with Kappa was extremely exclusive and not in a good way. The girls flaunted their wealth and did not accept many people. Not a good thing.

Chi O's can be seen as wild, but they're definitely nice and good girls at heart!

KDs are very sweet and involved.

DZ's are a very unique bunch. A lot of diversity and accepting of a ton of different girls.

AOPis are really into school and sisterhood.

If you look for it, you'll find negatives and positives of each sorority, but my best advice is to go with your gut. I pledged a top tier sorority because I cared about that (the ranking, the looks, popularity) and did NOT find a truly good sisterhood.

In college, you're at a point in your life where you need to STOP caring about what's ranked higher, who's more popular, etc and do whats right for YOU and screw everyone else.

If we're ranking based on how hard it is to get a bid, it'd be Chi O, KD, AOII, then DZ. Chi O and KD are without a doubt considered the top two. Chi O only takes the hottest, richest girls that love to party and are popular with the frat guys. Closely behind is KD, who only takes the prettiest, most "southern belle" girls that are really involved on campus and (more recently) the hot foreign girls. Chi O and KD both recruit mostly on looks, social presence/popularity, etc. These are the typical girls you think of when you think of sorority life. The difference in ranking between the two is very minimal and it really just depends who you ask/what you're looking for.

There is a big drop off in social status between Chi O/KD and AOII/DZ. AOII and DZ are not the most popular on campus or the most desired by guys, but it seems like their sisterhoods are much more real than the top two and they have less drama. AOII is definitely more selective than DZ. AOII only takes the super smart girls (like 3.5 and above smart) that are involved and are leaders on campus. If you're at all a risk to their squeaky clean image, you will not get invited back. DZ is the least selective. They don't really have a certain image yet (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), so they will take anyone. They're the safe bet sorority that has a diverse group of girls. There's nothing really unique about them, but they all seem very real.

Go through recruitment and decide which is best for you :)

top tier: kd, chio (kappa is off campus now)... KD is now the more exclusive of the two and Chio is on suspension for partying too much

middle tier: DZ, ADpi (ADpi is new but still has some really solid girls)

Lower tier: NCM, AOpi (even though a lot of these girls are great too)
