by: HiWhat happens if you don’t pay your dues on time?? Do u get kicked out ? Also, I know some sororities are really expensive the first semester , so what would happen if you can’t pay the first semester in time??

if you don’t pay your dues on time you won’t go to events and you jeoprodize events for the whole sorority. please go into a sorority knowing you can pay your dues. most dues are between $80-$100 per semester so it’s pretty manageable if you have a part time job. some sororities make you pay for specific events like formal and sisterhood retreats (like dphie and disney) and that could be an extra couple hundred dollars on top of dues so just know that, but they aren’t required to attend. each chapter’s new member dues are going to be a little more money but they are a ONE time fee and after your first semester you’ll get a standard monthly (or semesterly) fee and then whatever the sorority charges additionally. please make sure you can pay for your dues.

sorry i meant $80-100 per month. don’t be discouraged if you see dues $500-1000 for a semester because that’s new member dues and if you divide it between the months it’s really not as much as it seems. :)
