transferring

by: newtoUI

So i am transferring to Iowa this semester; really think I would like to join a sorority. Seems like there are not lots of houses that have open spots but I really want to live in a house next year and jump right in....is it better to just wait and do recruitment next year so you have more options; and if so; do you ever get to move into the house sophmore year?

Where are you coming from? We're you previously in a sorority?

No - it was in was in August; another Big 10 school - and I kind of knew I would be transferring so did not want to take a chance and then be committed to a house wherever I ended up.

There is no spring rush, I would suggest to do recruitment in the fall and you get to know all of the houses better.Just remember to keep an open mind!!!
