What's Hot - Hillsdale College - HC
By: Anon Sorority GirlPosted:
Sadly the Hillsdale Sigs are going down hill. Not only are they in poor standing with the college and the deans, but they are on social probation because of reckless drinking. Their last president was good, but their new one isn't very promising, and their last pledge class was literally the worst pledge class they've ever had and the worst of any Greek house's new pledge class. Their parties are overrated too. They're losing steam.

I have a few friends who were bid promised by chi o and then didn't get a bid and were dropped by them during rush. I think that is really unfair and unprofessional. There are some wonderful women in their house, but I never felt comfortable or like I fit in when I was at their house.

Some dsp's are nice but a lot of them are pretty rude to the girls on campus and don't seem to care too much about other people.

Kappa is truly the perfect house because it's a great balance between fun and seriousness. I like having both sides because it keeps me accounted for academically, professionally and spiritually, in addition to being social and a ton of fun. I wouldn't want to just have one side, because I wouldn't be as well rounded. I feel prepared for anything in life because of how much Kappa loved me and the wonderful sisters who care so much and make me feel such a deep sense of belonging.

Sigma Chi promotes an influence on campus that is unlike any other organization. They strive to be the best at everything they do - they have the best parties, their date parties and formals attract all the most popular ladies on campus, and they have a great sense of unity amongst themselves while still being inclusive with all other people on campus. At a school the size of Hillsdale's, frats can't really be super exclusive. Sigma Chi has done an excellent job at reaching out to everyone.

Gotta say Sigma Chi puts on a great show. They appear to be the best on campus, but after getting to know them you realize it's all an act. Their parties are getting worse each year, unless you like random Sigs grinding against you, which I have experienced. Not to mention their latest pledge class is the worst I've seen so far. One thing they are great at is picking up tools. As a girl I would never date a Sig.

ATO used to throw some really fun parties and they seemed like they were moving up, but they put quantity over quality in their recruitment, and it really shows. What some would call diversity others would call lack of an identity. They're looked at as a bunch of nice guys who hang out together, but it seems like that's all there is to their brotherhood. they really don't have much of an identity because they give bids to almost anyone. Until they become more selective, they will struggle.
