to anyone disappointed with recruitment
by: wellI've done it. It's a shallow system. Don't let some score two or three girls gave you ruin your self esteem. If you don't like your current chapter- don't stay. They don't get to tell you where you belong or put you in a box. Keep your personal power.

Well doesn't say if he/she is in a chapter at UNF. The chapter has more than just the members you met at recruitment. Before deciding not to stay, make it a point to meet different members each time you go to a chapter event. Ask people for their phone numbers and contact them to do something. If you accepted a bid, you can not go recruitment for another year. Rather than make a decision based on a whirlwind series of events over a weekend, use the time between now and initiation to decide if you can see yourself within the chapter. If you want to be a leader, let that be known and you may be surprised at what opportutnities open up for you.

Confused - running home is accepting a bid (when you ranked your chapters after pref round, you basically said that you would accept a bid from any of the chapters on your list). Talk to people (RhoGammas, officers in the sorority, other people in the sorority, Office of Student Life/Sorority and Fraternity Affairs office) and if you have concerns, talk about them. Get to know your pledge sisters as well as the active sisters and alumnae. Do things with people in the chapter so you can evaluate if it is for you. If you drop, you have to wait until next fall to go through recruitment again(if you choose to do so). If you are initiated and then choose to drop/quit/have your membership revoked, etc, you can NEVER join another National Panhellenic Council sorority (there are 26 of them). Take a few weeks to a month to decide whether sorority life is for you. AOT
#4 by: cliques
Some chapters form cliques right off the bat so if you're persistent really try to get to know the people. Also, if you're disappointed you didn't get to be in a "hot" sorority, get over yourself. You should be looking for a lifetime of friends not fake instagram photos and status.

Except time is money. If a PNM truly hates the chapter for whatever reason she probably shouldn't stick around and pay dues. Just don't get initiated if you're not ready- it's like getting married without the chance of ever getting remarried.
