what's the deal with aepi?

I'm an AEPi at another school and am considering transferring to NYU. It says all over the website that AEPi got kicked off campus. What's the deal with them going forward? Are they still going to be a fraternity that is socially relevant around campus?

They almost did because one of their pledges got hospitalized.
They're on campus but they're on their last strike, obviously.

They got in trouble for hazing and are no longer officially recognized by NYU (as of now). I would steer clear just in case.
