alpha xi delta

Hi I'm a freshman who dropped out of this past rush. I didn't feel like I fit in with any of the sororities I had left. I still want to be in one, and I thought that maybe joining Alpha Xi Delta would be a good fit. What is it like to be in one that's just back to campus? Will it be a small pledge class and we will have any socials? Thank you!

AXiD won't be returning, miami is looking to invite a new chapter onto campus for next year. This new chapter will have a similar feel to Tri delta, because it will be large and extremely diverse for several years until it finds it's brand / niche of girls

Actually they might be, but that's up to them and Panhellenic. Along with whatever new sorority comes on campus, if they do choose to come back they'll be recruiting in the fall. The actives in it will be seniors, so they're not going to be looking for as many girls as the new sorority though. The new sorority will be completely recolonizing, just like tri delt did. Judging on what tri delt did last year, you'll still have a pretty large pledge class and you will have socials and participate in formal recruitment and stuff, it'll probably just be a slightly bigger time commitment.

Because Miami asked a new Sorority to come colonize, AxiD is waiting untill fall of 2017 to come back.

They haven't asked anyone to come colonize yet. Panhel (and I'm not sure who else) conduct interviews with sororities that are interested in coming here and then they decide. AXiD could be considered in this if they are interested, but that hasn't been decided yet.
But either way, someone new will most likely be coming and they are correct that it will probably be similar to Tri Delt.

Fuzzie cannot come back on campus for 2 years after the new one comes on so they won't be back for AT LEAST 2 years.

There will be a new sorority on campus next year, yet to be determined which one. If they do it similar to Tri Delt, they'll do informal in the fall and then do formal in the spring. They had a pretty large first pledge class I think and they do have some socials.
