Top Frats/Strats

Affiliated junior here; do not think about tiers, especially as a new student.
Also, do not think of greek life solely in terms of parties; you will go to different kinds of parties in your four years depending on the groups you join. Fraternities can and do get shut down by the administration for different reasons.
Get used to campus, figure out what you like doing, get to know upperclassmen through different avenues and you'll find the right house for you.

No this is fr. All affiliations are great, just depends what kind of person you are. If you get to know all of them you’ll see where you fit, then from there can make judgements on the others, but they’re all awesome for different types of people

One more thing; realize that you will graduate and no one you meet from there on out will care what tier fraternity you were in.
The sooner you learn to get over yourself, the happier and more well-adjusted you'll be.
