Suggestions for Panhellenic

The special "rush" they put on for Clemson Life women needs to end. Panhel warns against preferential treatment for certain PNMs and tokenism yet their Clemson Life rush charade is a glaring example of both. They ruthlessly cut hundreds of PNMs, but then virtue signal about inclusiveness by slapping a jersey on a Clemson Life woman who didn't meet the eligibility requirements, bypassed the selection process, and doesn't fully participate after they get their "bid". It is a slap in the face to every PNM and alum who takes the process and the significance and obligation of membership seriously.
If Panhel wants to be truly inclusive, they can offer all PNMs they same opportunity to write their ticket to the house of their choice that the Clemson Life women get. Until they're willing to do that, Clemson Life women should be included in the same way that other women who are unwilling or unable to participate in the selection process are; as friends and guests at events where membership isn't required.

No legit panhellenic questions come off of greekrank. You obviously hate-posted this so you could comment on your own post and then comment on your comment. Clemson Life bids do not take away bids from pnm's in formal recruitment or affect house totals that determine open spots for COB.
If you didn't get a bid that you wanted it has nothing to do with a Clemson Life girl taking your spot, it's because the sororities could smell your pettiness and didn't want to slap a jersey on you.

I agree there is a lot of fake posting on this website. Furthermore, like many on this sight you are making a false accusation. I don’t agree with the post on allowing the Clemson Life students to participate, of course! This website however has exposed some serious issues with the Greek system at Clemson. Please post only serious suggestions to help correct issues.

I don’t like the video round. All of the PNMs should have the opportunity to meet the actives before any decisions are made on either end.
I would also prefer that it not all be done in Littlejohn but I know there aren’t many other options since we don’t have houses.

The video round is incredibly disrespectful to all PNMs. There is ABSOLUTELY no way anyone can make a decision off of a 1 minute video. It is obviously just a way for the top houses to basically slash the PNMs they don't want. I hear so many stories of women only getting a few houses out of 13 to even be an option from the video. I don't see how that is fair. Also PNMs need to realize that it is actually the sororities who choose them and not the other way around.

The video round is much better than an in-person first round for all concerned.
- Pnm's can present themselves much better in a video where they are calling the shots on how they look and sound and be calm and fully prepared. Going to every damn sorority in the heat and humidity all day for two days straight and talking to a hundred actives is no way to be at your best. Same goes for the sororities on their side. Members can pay better attention and take their time with videos instead of back to back to back to back parties. NOBODY WANTS THAT MARATHON AGAIN. Both sides benefit from the videos over in-person.
- The sororities have already made the bulk of their decisions and made lists way before first round anyway based on grades, resume, head shot and social media. This has always been the case.
- Each in-person first round party was only 15 minutes where the pnm's were handed around to 5 or 6 actives for about 1 minute of non-meaningful chit-chat in a rotation group that had already divided the pnm's by how the sorority had pre-ranked them; YES, NO, MAYBE. YES pnm's were put with the best rushers in a smaller rotation group so they got a little more time and little better conversation, NO pnm's were put with whoever and moved politely and quickly through several actives, and only pnm's they were on the fence about had a chance to tip the scales for the next round, JUST LIKE IN A VIDEO.
- Why make pnm's go to sororities where they don't have a chance in hell? Why make sororities go through that either? Why put anyone through two long days like that when videos are better for everybody's sake?
