do fraternities want or care about letter of recs?

These forms do exist for fraternities but they're not a thing like they are for sororities. The only time it's relevant is if you know an alumnus who is connected and influential with a chapter here and he wants to recommend you. But he could just contact the rush chairman directly and tell him about you and not have to use a form.
