how hard is it to get into a sorority

by:

I'm rushing this fall and I'm from the north, I have letters of rec for every sorority on campus and I'm very open minded and haven't limited myself, I'm interested in all of the sororities! Greek Life isn't very big up here so I'm a little lost, How many girls that go through rush don't get a single bid?

if after pref you rank all the houses you have left, you will get a bid. very few girls get dropped from very house during rounds. dont stress! you'll get a bid!!

This is correct. The majority of girls who don't receive a bid "suicide rank" which means they don't rank all of the houses they visited for pref round. People do this to try to guarantee a bid to a certain house but it can backfire and result in no bid. If you rank all your houses, you will get a bid.

If she is shy, she should work on her conversation skills.

rec letters literally mean nothing at clemson sorry but i'm from the north too and rush was stressful for me bc its not big where i'm from and had NO IDEA what is was life here. Definitely good to keep an open mind bc the sororities are so big you will find a group you get along with in any of them. No one doesn't really not get a bid at all they just might not get the one they wanted so they choose to drop. Don't worry about it i'm sure you'll do fine!!

Even legacy status means very little to them. My daughter was a legacy for 2 sororities at Clemson and they dropped her. She was top 10% in her large high school and a varsity cheerleader. Rush was a terrible experience. Now she's in s "low tier" sorority.

Upvoted this by accident. Honey, you came to a website run by the worst of the worst in greek life and posted on a year old thread to complain about your daughter being in a 'low tier' sorority. Newsflash, everyone at clemson has good grades and extracurriculars, it's how we got in. She should be happy she got a bid and enjoy her time with her sisters, no one here really cares about tiers

I hope you're right. I'd just like other parents to know it' can be a difficult process.
