letters

by: Help

I checked the chapman page for an answer to this question and couldnt find any information, so I'd love to hear some greek members opinions. How important are recomendation letters for rush at chapman? Do they make one pnm more favorable than another and should I get them for every house or do they really not make that much difference?
Thanks!

dude it doesn't matter the magic of rush is that you go with the mentality of joining the right one not one in particular. some people who rush have not one clue about any sororities i guess a letter could help but how desperate are you to join this one particularly?

If you can get a rec letter they definitely help. That being said it really needs to be coming from someone who is either an alumni of the sorority or currently in the sorority. It shouldnt just be a random rec.

It varies based on the chapter. Some chapters will use them more than others. I would say it isn't as necessary when you compare it to a school in the south or a "big name greek school"

If you have it great, the address to send them can be found on the Chapman Greek website or requested. If not, don't sweat it.

Enjoy the process and keep an open mind. This is about finding your place, not about a single particular house

If you can get a good one, go for it!! I would say a majority of girls who got into the house they wanted did so without a letter! But it doesn't hurt to have one!!

Honestly, I don't think it makes much of a difference. It may give you the slightest of advantages but if you get along well with the girls then you have nothing to worry about! I know people who didn't get into their number one even if they had a recommendation letter from the president of another chapter. If it's not meant to be than it won't.

Just go into recruitment with a positive attitude, be friendly, and everything will go in your favor.
