chances of not getting a bid

by: M

Just wondering how many candidates are given a bid in most sororities. Are a lot of girls dropped or not given a bid during fall recruitment? It seems like that would be really difficult and feel like a rejection.

Everyone gets a bid as long as they stick with it. The girls who drop do so because they don't like the choices they have left, and they think they only want to be in a certain house. Even though they say it's a mutual selection process, to be honest it's the sororities with all the decision making power (especially those considered "top"). You just have to go in with an open mind and be willing to give every single house a chance, and be willing to accept a bid from anyone even if it's not where you originally thought you would end up.
