by: Greek Rank is StupidPlease stop paying attention to this app. The guys on this app rank frats on a few social events they threw in the past year and don’t consider the huge number of other things that go into “good” fraternities like athletics, campus involvement, brotherhood, academics, etc. IFC posts a “best fraternity” award that takes everything into consideration and their rankings are way more accurate than these trolls online. This year SigEp won the award, and you won’t see any of these weirdos online consider them a “good” fraternity because they don’t throw huge parties. But they are super cool guys and do a lot for their members. This year their top 3 was SigEp, Fiji, and Beta

I mean fair that was kind of lame, but anyone socially competent that goes to Tech knows that these “consensus” rankings are extremely dumb. Not naming specific fraternities, but some of the “top” chapters have guys that are generally not well rounded at all.
To your point about top chapters being substance free - that’s not true at all. No one believes SigEp is substance free, and although Beta is technically dry nationally they have plenty of off campus events and tailgates and stuff. And Fiji being substance free is a joke lol.

Funny you mention housing matters- if that was the case than SAE and Pike would never be in consideration and we all agree that’s not true.
Best parties: SAE, Pike, KS, ATO, SX, Fiji
Best tailgates: Beta, Fiji, SX, SAE
Community service: Theta Xi, SigEp
Best house/yard: KS, TKE, Theta Xi, Fiji, ATO
Best grades: KS, AEPI, Delta Chi, Beta, Alpha Sig
Best athletics: Fiji, Pike, SigEp
Best campus involvement: Pike, Beta, Fiji
Brotherhood: SigEp, SX, really could make a lot of arguments for the smaller ones like DU, Alpha Sig, etc. here
Best prof dev: Fiji, Beta, SAE
Long story short sure if you break it down by category sure different places are good at different things. No one is the strongest in every category so ranking “best overall” is dumb but it’s obv fun or we wouldn’t be doing it. But the literal purpose of this website is to rank them - if you’re pressed abt that your frat obv didn’t make the cut and you’re salty abt it. No ”socially competent” tech student will argue that SAE, Pike, SigEp, Fiji, Beta, KS, and SX are the most well rounded places. You can argue the order all you want, it rly just depends on what you want in a fraternity. This app says different bc you rly think the cool guys and girls at this school spend their time on greekrank? Cmon

You are right when you said don't pay attention to GR but where you pointed people to look for ranks was even more lame.
You want a school award to decide who is best? Funny how all 3 fraternities that are in the running or win it every year are usually substance free?
Social life isn't everything and you are correct to point out community service and brotherhood when looking at ranks too but you can't completely disregard housing and house parties either.
