autism speaks

Why does no one on this campus talk about how bad of an org autism speaks is? I love the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta so much but I never donate to them because i really can’t support autism speaks. (Please don’t take this as a bash on AXiD)

Autism Speaks has changed their goal/message within the last few years and I think that is why they have kept it as their philanthropy. It is not to offend or make fun of one with autism but to make it more inclusive. Autism Speaks has a bad history but if you really look into it now, it does a lot for families.
