Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at DePaul University - DPU 2.5 Most of the sisters talk about each other and it's honestly disappointing to be a new initiate this year... I feel like dropping because I feel like I don't belong...

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at DePaul University - DPU 3.0 I'm a current new member in Chi O and I love you guys so much, but I just wish we'd do more social events.. like i feel like we haven't really done much compared to other sororities and most current girls aren't really interested in getting to know us NMs. I feel like a lot of girls act like moms and would rather stay in and be alone then go out :(. I'm too nervous to say this in person so hopefully chi o girls see this and change. I really do like you guys I just feel like you acted differently during recruitment and now you're all different than what I imagined.

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at DePaul University - DPU 1.0 Absolutely disgusting. Ironic that I get a warning when writing this that cyberbullying can be a crime. Last year there was an incident with some science majors involving people outside of this sorority. Certain girls had spread rumors about others outside of this group. The girls in the sorority then abused the power of their "sisterhood". These girls who have been named to the Health Science Director, targeted one specific girl causing her to transfer. I am a parent of an ex-Chi O. After hearing about first year science majors bullying a girl because they believed lies from one boy, she transferred. I'm not paying for my daughter to get caught up in bullying. The girl's parents hired lawyers which I most adamantly agree with. Bullying should not be tolerated.

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at DePaul University - DPU 1.6 I'm rubbed the wrong way by the fact that many girls in sorority have been known for being involved in a bullying incident last year. Specific younger girls should've been taken out of this sorority. It gives a bad name to the sisterhood and these girls shouldn't be cyberbullying. Among spreading rumors within parental ears, it's very unsatisfactory that some girls weren't disciplined. I'm a parent from CA and I sent my daughter to DePaul for it's Catholic values. While visiting my daughter, i overheard some girls (wearing Chi O attire) talking badly about another girl who was presumably not in the sorority. As a LCSW and psychologist, these girls were spreading rumors about another girl in an attempt to ruin her reputation. While unspeakable things were said, I heard verbatim, "even if it's not true, she's not pretty so if she's disliked, who cares". This is very upsetting because I'd hate for my daughter to be part of this organization where there are other girls who are openly bullying another girl. This incident occurred outside of Brownstones in the student center. I almost recorded the situation and sent it to the president of panhel. This type of activity should be reported to the police. Cyberbullying is not to be tolerated. These girls were not only representing the sorority, but the school's honors program. Where standards of character are high, this is unacceptable. I will be speaking with the dean about some of these issues.
