time for a new sorority?

Panhellenic does not open for expansion eg expand the system without thoughtful care regarding each sorority on campus. Struggling groups are sometimes allowed to achieve chapter total before a new group is chosen.
If there have been unwieldy new member classes for several years, a strong Panhellenic will usually open for expansion.
There also has to be interest shown by NPC groups that are not yet on campus for there to be a new sorority chosen.

I wish KD or Phi Mu would return.
@Honestly- I can see Tri Delta (chapter at Arkansas, closed chapter at UALR), Alpha Xi Delta (chapters at Henderson and Lyon), or Phi Mu (chapters at Arkansas, Lyon, SAU, Tech, closed here), but Sigma Delta Tau? Never had a chapter in Arkansas or nearby in Memphis (that I know of). I doubt that they'd want to come to ASU.

Any sorority may experience a lack of numbers to become alum buddies for new colony/chapter members, so PM and ZTA may not desire a new colony here if not enough alum help is available.

It's been shown that adding a new chapter expands the system. Rarely does one group close because another chapter was added.
