sorority comments

The girls that post rude things on this site are probably the same minority of girls each time and are sadly bad apples that ruin the entire batch. I wish people wouldn't look down on and judge the entire Greek system based on this awful site.
Look at all the good U of A Greek Life accomplishes and all the fun they have at the same time - while making, in general, good grades. I know there are poor examples of Greek Life to be seen but I truly wish people not let these girls define the entire system.
Houses at this campus have a lot of good in them - they sometimes need to try harder to show it, true, but they shouldn't be written off as horrible people just for joining a sorority.
It is a great system and brings a lot of joy to a lot of people. And this is made even better when the houses show love to each other and positivity. Hopefully this will be something the houses can struggle to show to those not in their own house.

dirty rushing is a huge problem at the U of A. Girls that are going through rush - be careful who you talk to...If you're caught talking to or partying with girls before rush, you can get in big trouble and not even be allowed to rush. Houses need to learn to rush fairly and follow the rules. I've heard from someone involved in Greek Life that they are going to start cracking down on this problem.

DO NOT pay any attention to this site - at all! It is full of comments from girls who try to make their house look better by tearing down another. Keep an open mind and be happy wherever you land.

please please do not listen to the things that are being said on this site. There is no house that is above another house. You should be focused on getting into the house where YOU feel most comfortable at and not focused into getting into a "top house". you are going to hear so many rumors about each house during rush that aren't true. and as for the rankings of each house, it honestly depends on who you are talking to and is all opinionated. The ranking changes yearly i feel!!! but do not listen to this site!

with both comments below. If you are going through rush, give EACH house a fair look-see and DO NOT become too focused on getting into a certain house because you may not land there. However, if you do focus on being the best pledge you can be, you will be happy no matter which house you get a bid to. IGNORE all of the crap you read on this site!

this is just my opine on "rankings" for the sororities. honestly I think the rankings change ever single year depending on each pledge class that each house gets. This is how I rank the sororities as of Fall 2011 rush...

KD & ZTA
ADPi

From what I've seen, the ranks look like:
Kappa&ChiO
KD&PiPhi
Zta&DDD
ADPi&AOII
But this is soley based on popularity, which in my opinion is a stupid way to pick which sorority you want to be in.

ChiO and Kappa trying to rank themselves as the "best" is pretty telling that they really know better... Me thinks thou dost protest too much. Chi O has never been the best here, Kappa had a few years, but that's been over for a few now.

This is how it should be...
ChiO/ Kappa (kappa just won for national best, so we kind of have to put it here. And ChiO was founded in AR.)

AOII/ ZTA (we have to be honest, AOII is improving alot and is no longer a bottom sorority)
KD/AXO/Phi Mu
ADPi (everyone knows ADPI will always be at the bottom even with the two new sororities.)
