Top house requirements

Ok all girls want a top house if for know other reason than to say they are in a top house. Here is what they look for and how to try and get a bid from one.
Chi -o. Legacies, Little Rock and alumni. They look for these three so find a mom who has some pull to get your name off the cut list the first night if you have no connections.
Kappa- money and church. It is true they have the wealthiest girls. Flash your labels on insta and post your pics from church retreats.
Zeta- looks and popularity. Post yourself surrounded by ALL your friends, looking bomb. Reach out to girls in house via social media to get yourself noticed.
Pi Phi - boost your resume with great grades and leadership activities. Like the other four if you have zero connections you MUST find a way to get yourself off the dreaded first night cut list. Being a legacy still carries weight here.
And if you don’t get a top four you will still find your people and have a great college experience. It’s all in what you choose to make of it!

Money and church for kappa. That about sums it up. They are the most judgmental of all houses and they haze. Girls from recruitment 2021 ranked them low due to rudeness. They don’t even try during recruitment because they simply don’t think they have too. Give me chi o ( or any other house for that matter ) over kappa.

Kappa - DOES look for wealthier girls
Chi-o - Does recruit mainly Arkansas girls
Zeta - Does go for looks over grades
Pi Phi - Does look for high grades and leadership

It’s ALL about connections for top houses. Period. Unless your a grade or rep risk your resume hardly matters

Kappa is judgmental but chi o is too cliquey. I have a close friend in chi-o and she seriously hates it

And connections can actually hurt you sometimes. High school “friends” don’t always help.

to connections hurting. That's what everyone here overlooks when talking about connections. For every girl a connection helps there is a girl that is cut due to a connection.

and a legacy to one "top" house also can make other "top" houses drop you. this happened to several of my friends who all had great grades and reputations.

Yes…being promised a bid happens even though it’s supposedly not allowed. I was promised a bid to Zeta, and my heart was set on it. I thought it was a go fo me…they all acted like it I was in.
Only to find out I was cut right before pref. Having to go through pref with 2 sororities I thought I wasn’t going to be in was weird. No time for healing… no explanation…just ghosting from the girls who promised me the bid.
I honestly think it happened so they stay in control of who they keep around instead of you dropping them.

^^ maybe the zetas you talked to really liked you and assumed you were as good as in? Having been on the other side now I see how it’s really a numbers game. All girls have girls they are pulling for but at the end of the day there is a cut off somewhere. Your right no one likes to be cut, but also give yourself more credit that they did really like you ( or you wouldn’t have made it even that far). They still should not bid promise though, ever! Sorry that happened to you. Also, I am in another top house and even girls I knew probably wouldn’t make it to the end I still tried to make feel good about themselves. Seems like Kappa should have done a better job of that as well.

It’s sooo ridiculous how hard Tri Delttries on here. Not a zeta ( believe it or don’t ) but no one on campus thinks Tri Delt is above zeta. Y’all are equal with KD on a good day.

Chi o has been recruiting more and more out of state girls so you don’t have to be from Little Rock to be happy here

I think chi o is trying to break free from only recruiting legacies and alumni’s daughters friends. Zeta seems to take a handful of girls without connections if cute and you wow someone the first night ( to get you off the large first night cut list all the top houses have). Kappa - connections above all else. Pi phi probably will look at the 4.0 girls that are heavily involved.
