greeklife @ asu (academics, party, involvement)

by: 2019 Freshman

I will be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2019 from the East Coast. I have a few random questions:
1) What is the most popular major for most fraternity members?
2) Is the Greek Village popular amongst the students?
3) Where do most freshman pledges live?
4) Does each fraternity have one off-campus house strictly for partying?
5) Are most fraternity members active in clubs/organizations outside the chapter (business organizations)

2) depends on what frat you're in. a lot of top frats don't have houses in glv, mostly middle/bottom frats do.
3) depends on your major but mostly hassy if you're business.
4) yeah pretty much.

Go and meet them before you make any judgments on them. This site is dumb and people just post mean things about others because they can. You have a couple months before you even consider rush.

1) you will find a lot of business majors because in business connections are really important and it’s also an easy degree so you get a lot of people who just want to party (other popular ones are Political Science, Journalism, & communications)
2) people who live in seem to like it. It is cheaper than an apartment equidistant.
3) most (basically all) freshman live in the dorm associated with their major
4) every frat I have heard of has at least one
5) a lot of them are. Greek life is a great way to get connections. Some are also in business fraternities too and student government. (Our last 2 student body presidents were greek)
