sorority weekend events !!
by: RecruitmentSay for the first couple weekends or so of being in a sorority, like the weekend of the eighth or fifteenth of September, do we have mandatory events for the sororities? Like are our first few weekends packed or is it kinda slack

you will have mandatory events pretty much every weekend your first semester in a sorority, and I would say 2-5 mandatory events per month for the rest of the time you're in college (not including any breaks). This is to ensure that you are quickly becoming reallllllly good friend with the girls in your pledge class and in the sorority, so you don't drop. It normally goes: 1. Bid Day, 2. a formal ritual sorority event, 3. socials with fraternities, 4. date parties, 5. sisterhood events, 6. initiation, and then you have all the big/little and homecoming week activities too. Most sororities also have mandatory philanthropy events in the Fall, plus you have to go to frat philanthropies too. If you don't want a busy schedule, don't rush. . If you have booked flights/tickets to something and can prove you bought them before you rushed, then you're fine

I definitely do wanna rush and don't mind a busy schedule, was just asking because of other plans that are dependent on being in a sorority. You cleared it up a lot though, thanks!
