weight
by: SHow much do sororities care about weight? Will top tiers drops me if I’m on the heavier side?

The truth is that each house has their own standards of membership. Bias is a fact of life, and where it will rear its head can't always be foretold. Each sorority chapter will work, to their own degree, to make all pnms feel welcome. But your receiving/not receiving an invite to a second+ round can be for a huge number of reasons beyond weight. The kindest thing to do is be yourself, and see how far your experience takes you.

Physical appearance is unfortunately a large portion of "points" in most sororities recruitments. We always have to rank girls based on outward appearance, but this normally is just determining if a girl can carry her head high, looks presentable, and appropriate. It's not the only factor. But it's important to look your best and understand that it's a privilege to rush, and these girls don't have to let you in. When you look presentable, you are respecting the girls who are recruiting you - they spent so much time and effort getting ready to meet you, so you should reciprocate this and they expect you to. But, weight isn't the biggest factor into this.

They really don’t. Every single house has larger women!!!! Not every house may not choose to allow those women to recruit or feature them on social media but you will see them in letters. I have seen larger women in every single house on campus. Don’t worry about it. As long as you are kind, respectful, & yourself you will be okay.
