rushing twice
by: rushing twiceI rushed last year and it was something I decided to do really last minute. I wasn't happy with the houses I had towards the 3rd round. I was trying to keep an open mind so i stayed until i got a bit. Unforchuantly I didn't really feel like I was at home with that house so I dropped before I was initiated. I know I am eligible to rush again my sophomore year and is something I want to do. I just want to know if it shows up that I had previously got a bid the year before to all the chapters when i rush again? I know that might look bad that I previously rushed .I really want to be in a sorority so any advice in rushing my second time.

First hun,
Learn to spell.
Second, you need to see what kind of a woman you want to be before rushing. If you go in expecting a certain house to give u a bid you will most likely not get it. Go in with an open mind and just get what you get. It sounds like you just want to be in a sorority anyways so beggars cant be too picky.
Goodluck.

If you already rushed, and dropped a chapter, you will most like have already put a bad taste in your Pledge Class's minds. Now, these are the girls that are recruiting you. It comes across like you can't commit to anything, which is not a great quality because most sororities require weekly to bi-weekly commitments that are 100% mandatory. We don't look for girls who are just trying to put a sorority name in their Instagram bio. We're looking for women that can commit to 200 strangers and works hard in school, professionally, and socially. Don't throw yourself a pity party, and don't lie that you haven't rushed. I recommend COB'ing into a chapter - ask a RhoGam about each chapter's COB process.

EVERY SINGLE GIRL I KNOW WHO DROPPED A HOUSE AND RERUSHED ENDED UP EITHER GETTING DROPPED FROM EVERYONE OR DROPPING BECAUSE THEY DONT LIKE THE HOUSES THEY HAVE LEFT.
We had a couple girls who we gave bids to in the past come through recently and non of them made it to bid day

PNMs, THIS is why when you are going through rush you should STICK WITH IT. No one WANTS to be there but if you drop out once you will get LOWER houses the next time you rush. You will never magically get a top-tier bid. Work your ass off, go through all of recruitment with a smile on your face, be presentable and talk about your interests. BY ALL MEANS, TRY TO NOT DROP RECRUITMENT! It will be 110% worse trying to re-rush or COB into a chapter. It is not the same as getting into a Fall pledge class. Just! Stick! With! It!

If you don't like something in the sororities that you have left, realize that you can be the change. Get a leadership role and work to make your sisterhood the one you always dreamed of. Don't just look at who is already in the sorority but your pledge class. Also, in a group of 200 girls, don't expect to be best friends with every single one of them. You'll find your people. If you have an invitation back it's for a reason - and doesn't it feel good to be wanted? There are girls who don't get invited back at all...ouch.

The poster put "Unforchuantly" lmao, how did she even pass 5th grade let alone get into college. No wonder ASU is such a garbage college, they accept people who can't even spell a 5th grade word correctly
