This is so not true. If you’re a hot girl any frat guy will be more than welcoming you to their parties. However, that wouldn’t be the case if you were a guy. You could’ve been the all star athlete in high school but if you’re not in a frat, it’s nearly impossible for you to get access to quality parties and meet hot sorority girls. This is coming from a guy who peaked in high school and rushed second semester of freshman year ;)

I’m a girl! I know some guys at asu in a couple frats but will I be shunned or looked down on for not being in a sorority ?

you'll have fun no matter what but it will probably be a little more fun if you're in a sorority. it will be more work being in a sorority and going to functions you may not want to, so you need to judge for yourself if it's worth it.

Honestly just rush. Doesn't matter if you're hot enough to get the addy's without being in a sorority bc it's just kinda annoying to have geeds at parties. Plus you wont get the fun community feel of being friends with all the guys

Just give it a try!! I know alot of girls who rushed with low gpa's and got into good houses
