parenting and frat life
by: MommaCan you have a child and still be in a sorority? Financially it's not an issue or I wouldn't have asked. Just curious as too: will people accept me or give me a bid if I have a child? I can still make all events and pay all dues.

It was a serious question. Sororities are supposed to be about philanthropy not shaking your ass on guys at the bars @barbie. So if that's what you do fine. But I want to hear about those sororities who buy charity and friendship and academics first. Not partying it up.

@Aphi we chose to do it this way. We like it this way. This school is closer to my home and I am already a student here. So I am not going to chase anyone. Lol My child is fine. His dad visits and we split days. A sorority is what I want. So are you saying I won't be accepted due to me having a child?

I'm 19. I want to get more involved in campus, it looks great on your grad school applications, I want to do something for a charity, and I want to meet new people. I get I am a mother, but I still am 19 and want to spend time with my peers. I also want to meet new people on campus. So yea that's why. My child is well. I take very good care of him so that is not an issue. :)
