transferring into a sorority?
by: sororityI’m currently a freshman looking to transfer to ASU, I’m in a sorority at my current East Coast school that’s top tier at ASU and I’m wondering if it’s an easy or common practice to transfer and affiliate with a sorority. Would I be welcomed as much by the sisters? Would the prestige of the sorority at my old school matter? I love Greek life so I’d want to stay a part of it for my whole college career!

It really depends on the chapter. Some will welcome you with warm arms, others won't. 99% of chapters WILL let you transfer in, but a lot of girls that transfer in will drop-out because the girls are not similar to the girls that they rushed at their original chapter. It's really what you make it! I say go for it, the worst that can happen is that you don't like it, learn from the experience, and then drop. If you don't transfer, you'll be dropped anyways so you might as well try!
