is it even worth transferring here

From the perspective of a guy in a top fraternity, I'll say this. ASU is definitely overrated as a party school at this point, but I guarantee it's nothing like high school. That's ridiculous. The problem is that the school administration hates Greek life and really cracks down on it. We don't have a Greek row anymore but rent is so cheap here, most fraternities have multiple houses or a plex to party at. The other nice thing about ASU Greek life is that there is no definitive top fraternity and there are around 5-6 that are top tier and consistently throw down. There is no other student body in the world that likes to party as much as ASU students, and so there's something going on just about every night of the week, especially if you're 21. It's not like Greek life in the South but we definitely hold our own. Plus we have some of the most beautiful women in the country, and pool party season is half the school year.

Take this from a guy who didn’t decide to rush until 2nd semester of college. I didn’t rush first semester becuase I expected ASU to be the “number 1 party school”. I thought the parties would come to me without having to make an effort. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. IMO, non Greek parties are worse than the parties I went to in high school (it’s a sausage fest). I’m in a “top tier” frat as well and I think the parties are super fun, but definitely not your stereotypical “number 1 party school” parties. But besides the partying, I ended up really liking my brothers. The only TRUE STEREOTYPE about asu is the beautiful woman here, but even then you most likely need to go Greek in order to meet them... If you’re a good looking girl, you can get into any frat parties easily. However, I strongly suggest you rush if you’re a guy.
