mill ave vs old town scottsdale

Anyone who has social relevance or a family/friend history at ASU before them knows Mill ave has died down considerably over the past few years, Tuesday-Sunday used to be packed semester round few years ago(couldn't tell a wednesday from a Saturday). Although Scottsdale isnt packed Tuesday-Sunday either, do you guys think Old Town has taken over as the superior bar scene now? Thurs-Sun has become out of control there while Mill is never close to out of control now and I've seen it dead/barely half full a lot. Thoughts?
