what is the reasoning for this?

How come girls raise their looks standards when hooking up but lower their looks standards when dating? Like shouldn’t it be the other way around cuz when you hook up, you’re most likely drunk and impaired and make decisions you wouldn’t make when sober. When you date someone, you are 100% aware of your surroundings and have intercourse soberly.
