older house vs newer house?

by: Freshman

So I went to a Alpha Sigma Phi rush event yesterday because my older sister said she use to go to their parties like 5 years ago. When I got there Sigma Tau Gamma next door to them had almost 3x the amount of guys rushing than Alpha Sigma. I thought they were new and werent that good because of it so my question is does being on campus longer make you better?

It really depends on the members. If everyone in the fraternity does stuff to improve it then theyre going to do better than other fraternities where only a couple members are pulling their own weight.

They also had at least 3x times the amount of people pike had.

What does pike have to do with this? And there is zero chance sig tau and anywhere near the rushees as pike.

Sig Tau is new but has done really well the last 2 years. Alpha Sig was never that great. When Delta Sig got kicked off in like 2009, they reorganized as Alpha Sig. They had a solid 2-3 years as Alpha Sig but haven't done as well as newer chapters like Delta Sig (came back around 2012), Pike, Sig Tau, and Sigma Pi.

Idk how Pike got brought up but they had the same amount of guys Sig Tau did at the two events I went to. I'm between Pike, Sig Tau, and Sig Ep right now. I have better conversations at Sig Tau but Pike and Sig Ep are more established so that's where im conflicted still.

Definitely Sig Tau or Sig Ep. Sig Tau is rising fast and Sig Ep has been a great chapter for a long time. Pike horrible and nobody respects them.
