do frats not give bids for kids with lower gpa's?

Sophomore looking to rush this semester, I heard that if you dont have the higher gpa's you have no chance for a bid. I have a 2.4 not dumb at all just didnt put the effort in, 3.9 in high school.

Most good fraternities don't take anyone with less then a 3.0 unless your an absolute stud. Even then you literally can't get a bid with anything under a 2.75. Off campus doesn't have any GPA requirements.
