is thr greek village going to be a good thing

Just trying to decide if I should try to rush a fraternity that is going to live there.

there is nothing cool about the greek village, i wouldn't. Ask the frats if they have plans to acquire real housing (not single family houses with 4 bedrooms) during rush.

They came to everyone's chapter and gave them all the details. I'm hoping it makes the Greek community closer now that we have our own area. I personally would never live in it because it is like the freshman dorms but it is a community bathroom. I'm sure if you tried you can find it online.

Greek village is a scam and a waste. They’re basically dorms still, there won’t be parties or anything and the only frats who’ve signed up are the irrelevant ones. Even then, they have to pay for their house and it’ll be expensive. If you’re going to rush, choose a frat that have actual houses to party in

The greek housing will be terrible. It is going to suck money out of chapters and their overall members. Expect to see a lot of higher tier fraternities being able to do less because of the greek housing.

The fraternities that are not in the greek village as of now are- Kappa Sig, FIJI, Lambda, PIKE, Delta Sig.

It will not remain a choice for long... ASU is trying to control Greek life that's why they knocked down the houses a few years ago. Soon they'll make all fraternities stay in the Greek village or we'll have to get permission from nationals to go off campus.

Also wondering why your name is "FIJI" when they are the only ones with a house and don't have any reason to move into the village?

Hi,

Not every fraternity signed for a House because it was optional, and the majority of fraternities and sororities hate the idea anyway and opted out. And it wouldn’t even be possible to make every chapter get a “house” on Greek village because there are 32 fraternities as of this fall. The majority of chapters who signed chapters who are smaller and don’t have houses for centralized activities. It is honestly a waste of money and not a true Greek experience.
