rushing again

by: transfer

i rushed freshman year and accepted a bid. i dropped my sorority before initiation because i was transferring at semester to a school without the house i had been in. i had planned to rush at my new school but only stayed there a semester and will be back at asu in the fall. do you think my previous house will drop me immediately because i dropped them? and will i be looked down on because i'm re rushing?

It could go either way. They may be excited to see you again and bitter you left them. It depends on how you dropped and when you dropped and if the girls know why you dropped.

its such a unique situation that id reach out to the president ahead of time and explain what happened, there would be no standard procedure for this kind of thing. Very few people transfer back after transferring.

You will be treated with respect, kindness and tact by sorority women throughout any recruitment period, always. It's the sorority way. I suggest you treat them in a similar fashion.

NEVER EVER ask the president of your former org whether they might take you back. That is desperate and tacky. Simply go thru recruitment again if you choose.

Formulate and practice a brief, polite answer as to why you dropped after joining last year. Let the recruiting sorority women inquire about your previous status, do not bring-up the subject yourself.
