what houses are good backups if i cant get into λ
by: 2017-18 RUSHEEHi all I will be rushing this fall. My cousin is a member of the top sorority and she tells me Lambda Chi Alpha is far and away the best most prestigeous fraternity to belong to. She also mentioned it is by far the most competitive and turns away the most rushees. I personally think I will have a good chance, I have a full ride to play on the Sun Devils baseball team, and was drafted out of high school by the SF Giants, I graduated Valedictorian in my high school and also a model for the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. As a backup what fraternities should I also look into?. I plan to concentrate of Lambda Chi but my cousin said it's a good idea to have a back up. She suggested Kappa Sig and Sig Ep any others I should look into?

ALL other fraternities at ASU would be a huge downgrade and disappountment compared to Lambda Chi, your cousin is right Lambda Chi is definately in a tier to themselves, I think with your obvious good looks, inteligence and athleticism you will be a shoe in for Lambda Chi. Rushing any other fraternity would be a big let down and frankly embarassing.

it is almost imposible to get a bid from Lambda Chi, you have to be "hot", sociable, athletic and super smart

It is good to have a backup because it is almost impossible to get a bid from Lambda Chi. With you resume you should be a shoe in.

You sound like Lambda Chi material, but if for some reason you can't get a bid I would almost recommend staying a GDI because frankly all the other fraternities are filled with nerdy wannabes and not worth anyone's time.

Dont be bitter because you did not make the high standards of Lambda Chi and passed over for a bid, the vast vast majority of rushees dont make the cut of the consensus #1 fraternity at ASU.

Lambda is best but almost impossible to get a bid, with your resume you should be a shoe-in as a backup look into KS or DS

I know for a fact every single member of Lambda Chi last PC had also received bids from Kappa Sig. When you compare well there is no comparison.

I got bids from KS/DKE and Sig Ep although I rushed Lambda Chi they did not bid me. I ended up at DKE which was a big mistake. Getting a bid from Lambda Chi is like winning the lottery don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I have lots of Lambda friends they are definately the top of the pyramid and I can say empatically EVERY single member of EVERY other fraternity would have jumped ship in a milisecond if they had got a bid from Lambda Chi.

Almost all members of Lambda Chi had bids from Kappa Sig, Delta Sig, Sig Ep and other upper tier fraternities. When you compare the chouce is simple Lambda is the most prestigeous fraternity to beling to and its not even close.

I think you will be a shoe-in for Lambda Chi you are exactly the type of person they seek. Frankly I would not bother wasting your time with another fraternity since you will surely get a bid from Lambda Chi. Kappa Sig, DKE, Sig Ep, Pi Kap comparatively are a joke and embarassment when compared to Lambda Chi.
