is there actual drama irl with tiers?

i've been wanting to be in a sorority since I was a little girl, and I honestly can't believe how mean some people are on here about certain chapters! Is Greek life really that mean to each other in person? Like are lower "tiers" looked down on by higher "tiers?" Or is it just this website that blows it out of proportion? I wanna rush really badly but I don't want to be in a hostile community :(

It's not that hostile in real life, yeah every once in a while at a philo you might get weird stares or what not but it all comes back to Pan love. Also in real life you are representing your chapter everywhere you go so obviously no one is going to this mean of people are going to talk. Don't let this website keep you away from finding your home away from home:)

Tiers don't really exist outside of this website. Like I'm "bottom" or "middle" (it changes daily) & my roommates are "top" & my boyfriend is "top". And they don't treat me any different at all. I didn't know there was a difference till I found this website

I just don't get how people rank them. There's so much to a sorority that I can't see how they could be ranked

it's definitely exaggerated on here, but there can be some drama between sororities every now and then, usually when competition is involved, or any scandal happens
