my advice to girls rushing...

-Do not accept a bid from a sorority on probation. You will not do be able to do anything, so will be paying to go to meetings.
-Stay away from Kappa, KD, SK. They have such bad reps that you will be embarrassed to wear your letters.
- if you get a bid from one of the above take the semester to meet girls in the sorority you really like and rush in the Spring or next year.

SK is honestly not the worse you can get into. They're known for partying but most are pretty smart as well. KD is new and just had a rough start, but they're trying to revamp their image. Kappa is just so diverse with the girls they pick that they get a party hard rep because most of the girls enjoy going out and having fun.

If you say Kappa is diverse, it is because they are not choosing the girls. They have to take anyone who prefs them because the more desireable girls are taken by the better sororitys and they get the leftovers.

Kappa does not "take leftovers". None of our sororities "take leftovers". Strong, studious, well-rounded ASU women go thru recruitment every year. ANY sorority chooses ONLY from among the well-qualified women who attend their pref parties. That's how recruitment works. And in solid panhellenic agreement we state with pride all of our sororities are diverse.
The sorority chooses their bid members from their pref attendees, but NOT ALL of one home's pref attendees will be bid. For pretend example, Kappa sorority has 300 women total attending their pref parties, and then panhel quota is set at 100. Therefore, ONLY 100 women (or slightly more/slightly less) are bid by Kappa.

go through recruitment and if you like a house that people berate on here, ignore it, because then you will be joining a house you won't be happy in just because of what people say on here. it will be a bad decision and you won't be where you feel happiest. every house has bad stereotypes, even 'top tier'. at the end of the day, you want to be happy for the rest of your life in your chapter, not just your time at ASU

Somebody must of got dropped from the above mentioned houses. Kappa, SK, DZ, and KD are some of the best sororities and whomever posted this is just trying to make up stories because of their own insecurities. Take some real advice and grow up girlie and worry about your own reputation. Pan love ladies💙💜💚💚

Do you even go to ASU ? No one here would ever say those three are some of the best. Better to be honest then have s girl end up miserable or drop. No one would actually choose to be in them if they had a choice,

Going thru recruitment does not mean one is required to join a home. One is allowed to drop from the system at any point. No one insists upon all pnms accepting a bid. Choosing to be in a sorority, or not, is up to the women going thru recruitment. Any pnm's options may become limited to only those ASU homes judged by GR posters as unacceptable with bad reps. Life (and sorority recruitment) offers choices, and one's choices are always individual.

I would agree they're not the best at ASU, but saying no one would choose to be in them? You're bitter and obviously have a problem with Greek Life somewhere in your heart. Regardless of your opinion, there are lifelong bonds being formed for the sisters in those houses and amazing memories for tthem as well. I sincerely hope you realize your poor judgement.
