are frats and sororities actually known?

I'm an incoming sophomore (transferring) and I was wondering if people from the frats and sororities are actually known. The school is HUGE so it just seems weird that people would know around campus.

Is it hard to get into a frat or sorority?

Yeah no one is "known" like small schools or high school except if you are the president of your organization

a few people in each of the decent frats/sororities are well known. However, well known means most people in the greek system know who they are, which is the size of a high school. They are not well known among the entire asu student body lol
