perish/ transfer student

Im gonna be a sophomore transfer student rushing a fraternity, saw tips to get involved with pre rush to have better chance how do you suggest this for a sophomore, like are all the passport/walk around open to all years also how do people get invited/hear about pre rush events/parties do rush pages post them or should ya talk to a guy you see or whats the deal, basically whats the easiest way to get in the pre rush loop before rush starts if you r not a freshman, or even if you are i guess cause as a transfer i basically am a freshman just more credits
