greek housing
by: Billy MaysUnderstand that there is no Greek housing. I personally didnt know anything about greek life when rushing and then joining a fraternity. Its nothing like other schools where you see big houses with massive letters on the front and partys being thrown inside. There is a "Greek Village" coming, expect to have to live in it come fall 2018. This will also change your personal rankings of fraternities due to the amount of brothers having to live in it then hence affecting the number or houses your fraternity is able to get to party in. greek village is garbage. It's the school's way of saying that they are trying to help greek life, without giving us anything we actually want. It's similar to what adelphi (yes adelphi was originally also intended for the frats), the Vista greek cluster, and vista villas greek cluster, were all supposed to be. Plenty of schools have no on campus housing and the chapter or nationals takes care of securing a place. ASU frats should follow suit. Housing is a huge money maker, it shouldn't require asu to get some alumni together to build a house. Or get a freakin plex. FIJI and KA have had theirs for 7 & 6 years respectively and look how much better those frats are than in 2010/2011 (if you don't know, they were garbage).

Either the biggest trap to get kicked off or put on sanctions or a genuinely good way to recruit. Time will tell. But its a no party's or drinking allowed and has CA's.Most fraternities bought in bc evereybodys scared of falling off without one. But the bigger your fraternity the bigger house you're forced to have. Not completely sure but I think Lambda, Pike, FIJI(still has a Greek house), KA(has a complex) chose not to get one bc they either think its a trap have alternative housing or due to their size didnt want to force at least 40-30 bros to live in there.
