off campus dying out possibility?
by: ?is there a chance of the off campus frats dying out or dropping off huge in the next few years where joining as a freshman with 4-5 years ahead of me would be a bad idea

Honestly yes because asu is really cracking down on them. On campus fraternities are having a hard time which means it's even harder for the frats that asu doesn't even consider to be affiliated with them. Sororities are literally given a presentation from people in fraternity and sorority life council reading off all the convictions against off campus frats to scare them away from them and going to their parties

DKE is not coming on campus anytime soon. As for off campus fraternities, Sigma Chi is a closet with its earliest ability coming the fall of 2018. With that, the dean of students and FSL(fraternity & sorority life) would still have to approve for them to charter. If I happen to be wrong about DKE's possibility, the odds that the dean of students and FSL will approve aren't too good due to constant negative reports.

dke, just like sig chi, did not get kicked off for a specific occurrence. Just a build up of unregistered parties and infractions like that. You keep getting them and you get the boot.

Theoretically, a chapter could survive forever off campus. We'll really just have to wait and see how it goes because before like 3 years ago, there was never an instance of multiple off campus frats continuing to operate for a long period of time. Before, when a chapter got kicked off, the nationals would pull the charter either instantly or within a few months. Now that ASU is getting more rediculous, nationals are tending to take the chapters' sides. As long as they can keep recruiting well, they'll do ok. I think getting a plex would really help tke, dke, or sig chi maintain relevancy, since it greatly increases visibility and gives an huge advantage vs other houses. Imagine if the only houses with a plex were tke, dke, sig chi, fiji, and ka. Kids would be flooding off campus frats
