sorority $$$
by: WamBamThis encompasses a bit. How much would you say the average cost is to membership in the sororities at ASU? I mean, there aren't any houses rn, so is it significantly cheaper or whatever? Also, is money important in recruitment\social standing?

asu greek organizations probably are mostly around $1000/semester + buying cheap t shirts and things like that. At other schools, greek life dues can be 5000/semester or more. So yes, in comparison to other power 5 conference schools, it's pretty cheap to be in asu greek life and anyone with a part time job could afford dues if they wanted to. And having money is a plus but there are girls without it in every house. This isn't U$C

Honestly, like what was mentioned above, if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it. A vast majority of girls are having it paid for by their parents. Some girls however, in every sorority on campus, work very hard to be able to pay their dues on their own, and they should definitely be commended. but combined with tuition and housing it usually becomes too much, you're working to pay all these dues but usually have to miss the events you paid for because youre working
