a lot of spots will be taken before official rush week, but the PCs are not 100% set. If they were, they wouldn't bother even having a rush week. I'd say my house's PC is probably 60% set pre-rush week. Look up contact info for fraternity rush chairs, hit them up in early August. If you know anyone at ASU in a fraternity, talk to them as well. I'm sure they can let you know what's happening.

Is this for both off- and on-campus?

Yeah I would think so. Every chapter is different though and I bet some houses give out all bids during rush week. I think this is a more traditional thing (to do pre-rush) that you will find is more of a thing with the more established frats. Guys with less tradition like pike, delta sig, etc might do things differently idk

How do you get in contact with houses or hear about any pre events or parties they have rushees go to? Will they just like walk up and tell kids throughout the beginning of the school year or r they like out tabling and tell u there or how does it work/how does word spread? My main question boils down to how do u go about getting recruited pre rush or what's some tips?

join rush groups or like the rush pages on fb, and like I said you should be able to find the contact info for the rush chairmen on those pages. If the rush groups/pages aren't up yet and you wanna get a head start, you can probably send a message to the general fb page or find contact info on the website. However, even if you don't do any of this, you can still get a bid during rush week. Plenty of kids do that. However, I'd say you have a better shot during pre-rush since it shows initiative on your part (you're not just a random kid who walked by their booth) and it gives you more time to meet the guys.

the biggest bangers are during prerush. Official rush week is dry except for the off campus frats. So if you wanna actually experience what the frats are like and how they rage, you definitely want to be in the loop for that. Also, it's probably the most fun time of the year so there's no reason to miss out on some solid parties, this is the only time in college where you'll be able to basically see how every frat rages. Unless of course you make friends in each of those houses

True but OFC probably doesn't party much during rush either. The only reason IFC is dry is because the sororities are during rush, so there's no reason to throw parties really

I know for a fact DKE will have multiple parties before and during rush week. That is how off campus frats make up for not being at the walk around. For DKE and most other fraternities a rush page will be made on facebook that you can join. Also DON'T be afraid to reach out to rush chairs on social media or whatever, ask them if there is anything going on etc etc. Fraternities (especially OFC) will also recruit before rush week even starts at stuff like the tiki laoi. If you see someone wearing letters of the fraternity your considering before/during rush week do not be afraid to approach them and ask about what they have going on. IMO this shows initiative and that you have at least some social skills.
