@ pnms worried about rush: freshmen+

by: sorority babe

if you're a freshman, don't stress and go through with an open mind. if you're not a freshman.... don't stress, go through with an open mind. if a house really likes you and feels a connection your age will not be the only factor they look at. your personality, looks, grades, and how you mesh will all be a factor.

so don't stress on greekrank about which houses will pick you, trust the process and you're more likely to find a home; freshman or not

why would anyone want to rush as a junior? you're almost done with school and should already be established...

Any qualified ASU woman is welcome to join sorority recruitment. If anyone reading this feels they will benefit from and add to sorority life by joining one of our NPC groups, please strongly consider formal rush. Remember to enter with a very open heart and mind, and your sorority dreams might come true.

There are opportunities to make sorority friends without joining a specific group during your first 2 years, but those friendships might bloom into a third year decision toward sorority membership. So juniors welcome!

But still, rushing as a junior is sort of weird. Why would a 20/21 year old who has gone through two years of college, where a lot of growth occurs want to rush and be in a pledge class with 99% 18 year old freshman girls. You'll have very little in common

Probably the same reason guys rush even though theyre like 23. Maybe they transferred colleges, went to community college, they may be juniors but will take 5 years to graduate so they still have 3 years left and want to make the most out of them. It could be any number of things. Plus, two years is not that big of a difference. Maturity is overrated.
