Of course. Who would choose to be in arizona when they can be in san diego.

For social life, I'd go to sdsu especially if you want to rush. SDSU has a greek row until ASU. ASU's party reputation is falling down hard because of our strict dean and sdsu is now ranked above ASU in the party scene on niche. Niche is a pretty reliable source imo because all of the reviews come from the students. However, because our dean is going out of his way to ruin ASU's universal party reputation, ASU is moving up in the national rankings. This goes especially if you're majoring in business or engineering, both these programs are very well respected. So in short, sdsu for partying and asu for education.

sdsu for partying and asu for education? lol no. academic-wise, sdsu is much more rigorous than asu and a degree looks much better. Sdsu values academics over partying but throws down hard regardless.

SDSU is a "state university" one level above a jr college and they are not even the best "state university" that goes to Cal Poly. A ASU degree is much more valuable than one from SDSU. SDSU and all calif state schools do not even have doctorate programs.

asu is also a state university....acceptance wise sdsu is much more selective than asu. I mean you get out of the school what you put into it so I guess it depends which one you feel like you would succeed at more, but reputation wise sdsu is much higher. They are the #2 state school in california.

They might be #2 in "state Univ" system but the dozen or so University of Calif schools are all above the State Univ.

Imo, if you're from California and want to get out of California for some crazy reason, come to ASU. If you're on the fence and you love California, I'd personally stay there. San Diego is a super beautiful area and as it's been said, Greek Life there is a bit different (so to say) than here. Either way you'll enjoy your experiences, but I'd say look into each college in depth and see where it lines up with your academic and social goals

ASU has a great business school, I have tons of friends in it, and recommend it highly. :) Just look into both and see where you think would fit you best! But, again, ASU's business school is great!

I'm from Chicago so fellow midwesterner here! First of all cali state schools are ridiculously over priced. Secondly, asu's business school is actually well respected don't let the high acceptance rate into the GENERAL college sway you. San Diego wins for location, weather and Greek life though. Visit both schools and go wherever you feel more welcome though cuz at the end of the day they are both good schools

Literally anyone can get into ASU and it's pretty hard to get into SDSU now, so I wouldn't necessarily say a degree from ASU is better LOL.

Anyone can get in the school, not the business program once you're here though! Carey is much more well known/respected than SDSU's so if that's her major I feel like asu would be a better decision tbh

IDK why all these people think SDSU is a better school than ASU. Arizona State is arguably the best university in the southwest. Definitely top 3. SDSU isn't even the best school in its own city. San Diego is a better city than Phoenix, but not by a HUGE amount. People forget Phoenix is the 6th biggest city in the US and Tempe bleeds into it (ASU is adjacent to Tempe Town Lake, you cross the bridge over Tempe town lake and you are in Phoenix city limits). SDSU has frat houses which is an advantage for sure. But the school is not better

Yeah except Tempe itself is pretty ratchety and ghetto. Chollos and hoodrats are everywhere.

This has to be a joke. Arizona sucks and asu is a joke of a school.
