psa to all upcoming freshman guys

by:

If you're a guy who's not really interested in Greek life yet still wants to rage hard, DO NOT COME HERE! ASU has fallen down the party school rankings and is still continuing to because of our dean Michael Crow. Michael Crow took down Greek row so all frats live off campus. Because of this, it'd be hard for gdi's to find frat parties unlike having a Greek row on campus. More and more IFC frats are getting kicked off campus because of Crow. This might even result in an end of ASU greek life within 5-10 years. The bars here are extremely strict with fake IDs as well. The only parties gdi men can go to are apartment parties which usually consists of mostly guys and a few girls. The girls are at best average and nothing compared to the ones you see on social media. As much as you'd not like to, rushing a fraternity is your only way to access quality parties. Now as far as Greek life goes, for those of you unaware of frats there's an unofficial "tier" system. "Bottom Tier" frats are considered the weird/socially awkward guys; "Top Tier" have the best reputation/parties and are more like the one from the movie Neighbors. For those of you freshman who are interested in rushing, these are the frats to check out if you want a classic "Arizona State Experience": Kappa Sigma, Delta Kappa Epsilion, Lambda Chi Alpha, Sigma Phi Epsilion (all top tier), Sigma Chi, Pi Kappa Alpha, Pi Kappa Phi, and FIJI (all upper mid tier). There's not much of a difference between upper mid and top though.

should i go to university of arizona for a better party scene?

Yes you should especially if you want to go Greek. If you look it up online, UofA is coming up really strong in the party rankings. It also has a solid Greek row and isn't a dry campus like ASU. Because of Greek row too, UofA provides more opportunities for block parties. I don't know if this is true but I heard the sorority girls at UofA and more hipster/down to earth compared to sorority girls at ASU.

DKEs parties are the closest thing to an ASU experience. They are off campus so they have no restrictions and can do whatever. Kappa Sigma is probably the best on campus for parties but doesn't compare to DKE

Dude "ASU experience" hasn't been around since the 90s. ASU was only considered a party school a few years ago because SAE got one of their pledges killed and another almost died being tossed at the door step to a hospital. That's why they made party school lists nationally. That doesn't mean ASU as a whole was a party school. Just SAE almost getting kids killed by having them drink too much which doesn't equate to partying.

I am a freshman gdi guy and I can safely say this is the single post accurate post on this website. This is ASU, instead of struggling to FIND a good party, parties are suppose to COME to us. Unbelievable.

My friend goes to U of A and she almost got kicked out because the cops are on your ass there. The police station is on the Greek row so you have to be extra careful

UA Police is not like the police @ ASU, however, the AU administration hates the Greeks and keeps throwing them off for stupid things. Just look at the list of inactive frats on the UA ranking site.

Lol well if you freshman want to go to a REAL party school with REAL Greek life, these are the schools I suggest: Ohio state, Ohio university, West Virginia, CU boulder, Michigan state, Kansas, Southern California, penn state, Florida state, Louisiana state, and the list goes on. Quite embarrassing to attend ASU and find out that so many other schools would have more opportunities to rage for gdi men.

Every college is probably hard for a gdi to "rage" join a frat if you want to party. Every college party wants only girls to come. it's like that everywhere

Not really, I have friends at a bunch of schools that I listed and they're all gdi guys. I've also visited quite of few of them and it seems like they never miss an opportunity to have just as good of a time as someone in a frat. Most of them just hit the bars and block parties. But ASU doesn't provide any of those.

No it's no lmao. Trust me I've visited WVU, OSU, MSU, Ohio, and PSU. None of my friends are in frats there and they always have a good party to go to any time of the week.

Im currently deciding between ASU and San Diego State, do you guys think San Diego parties harder than here?

By: question
by: PSA

I would go to sdsu if I were you especially if you want to go Greek. They have a Greek row and currently have a higher party rank than ASU on niche.com, which is a pretty accurate college source.
