sorority gpa
by: HiI have below a 3.0 and I'm worried I won't be able to get a house with that gpa. If I took some classes at a community college over the summer do you think the sororities will look at those instead of my high school gpa?

All top houses have a GPA requirement around 3.0, and if they do make an exception, it's for someone they know incredibly well/there were certain circumstances for a low GPA. Word of advice: wait a year of university before going through recruitment to get your head on straight. If you didn't do too hot in high school, and even if you do get into a sorority you love, you'll only have a semester or two to even be in it because you'll be dropping out and headed home QUICK.

Generally college gpa is one point lower then high school. So if you are entering college with a 2.75 waiting might not help as you will likely do worse. If you care about getting through college perhaps a sorority is not for you. It really adds a lot to your schedule - other than the "fun" things - like formals. You will spend a few hours a week in meetings etc, especially your first semester, and this will take away from your study time.

Basically every house is 3.0 not just "top" houses. I don't know about KD & APhi & ADPi & DZ
