Best Greek life in NC

Greek life at App is pretty cool because it’s more laid back in the relationships between sororities. Pan love is highly encouraged and almost everyone has friends in other organizations. It’s pretty big on campus to be Greek, a large percent of the student body is in Greek life. It’s stupid that there aren’t srat or frat houses but that’s the university’s doing. Overall a good time at frat parties and there are lotta hot girls in the srats, depending on which one obviously.

the good frats have some nice houses but city law won't allow sorority housing but there is a renovated hotel for sorority girls to live in if they want kinda sucks tho so most get apartments. you have to rush here if you actually want a life lol (unless ur 21 but even then). top tier girls: ADPi, APhi, SK, KD top frats: KA, Delta Sig, PIKE, Delta Chi

very laid back rush for girls at least, if u want a top tier sorority go adpi, aphi, or kd. there isn't really one top sorority. top frats are sae, pike, and signu. most of the stuff on here is self ranking, or bitter people so just go in with an open mind

The best part of App's greek life is that it is far less competitive than most schools. You are pretty much guaranteed to get a bid from a frat/sorority. And most of the frats throw awesome parties. The problem is that is stops there.. Sororities can't have houses, the people in charge of Greek life don't seem to be doing anything to make it any better, Pan Love seems real until you actually join a Sorority, and nobody is really that involved on campus unless is Recruitment season or Greek Week. The PHC recruitment process at App is very long and has a week break in between which can get frustrating and stressful waiting to see results. The sorority housing/old run down hotel ("PHC") is very stingy and is always shutting the rooms down and making sororities have find last minute replacements for chapter or instances of double booking rooms and you could get stuck going to a very crammed and hot room. Plus you need a key card to get into the building and then again to go up the elevators which are the only way upstairs, kinda frustrating if you don't live there and have to wait twice for someone. Also heard many hazing stories from multiple frats and some of them are god awful, #NoHateAppState

App has an extremely present greek life. Greek life is everything to the campus and it's events. Lots of organizations are off campus and the housing is poor yet most of the money from the school continues to go to greek life...

Wherever you go you’re bound to see someone wearing Greek letters. For sororities it seems like selection is strictly based off of wealth and attractiveness, and for fraternities it’s based off of how cool the guys think you are. There’s always a Greek event going on

a great school to be involved in Greek life with if you don't want anything too competitive or highkey.

App State has an amazing, very prevalent greek life

It says a lot about your on campus Greek community and advisors when there is no housing and your best fraternity has been off campus for 5+ years
