You should definitely go through recruitment. There are 7 chapters at UH and no one should tell you anything about any of them. Each chapter has great women, and a great sisterhood. You need to think for yourself and select the group that you feel most comfortable with because you don't want to "just be in a sorority in college, but for the rest of your life." Sorority sisters are your bridesmaids and the Godmothers to your children. It's an important decision that you need to make. Register for recruitment. Get recs, they really are important and sign up with an alum panhellenic because it can get you a scholarship later on.
