Is there an advantage for getting into a sorority if you are a legacy?

Being a legacy definitely helps, but you're not guaranteed a bid. I guess it depends on the sorority because in mine we'll definitely try and keep her unless she totally doesn't fit in. But the other replied seems to think otherwise

It is defiantly a way for the sorority to remember you! Does not guarantee a bid, but you should have a good chance if they like you too.

I know you are given advantage in some seats but that doesn't guarantee you'll get a bid.

I was dropped by both of my legacys after the second round after I thought I had great conversations with them. Legacy means nothing at JMU
