does size matter?

As someone who's considering rushing - one of my questions for people who are greek is how large is the average fraternity here at JMU and how much affect does size have on their popularity, philanthropy, etc.?
What do you guys think is the ideal size for a fraternity?

It doesn't unless you're dealing with extremes. A great group of 50 guys is way better than an awkward group of 90 guys. However having a group of 120 guys even if they are great or only just 10 great guys may do more harm than good to the fraternity for different reasons. But each fraternity has its own appeal. I'd say the ideal size here at JMU is anywhere from 45-75 guys.
